Skill-Tec History

Skill-Tec was originally conceived, developed and marketed in South Africa as a training tool for Rugby players. The simple concept was to provide an individual player the opportunity to develop key skills without the need for the entire team. The unique training tool had the additional benefit of allowing players the ability to warm up on the sidelines, while the game was on, without interfering with the action on the field.

The demanding conditions of rugby required that this product be very rugged to withstand extreme user conditions. Over a period of 2 years the ball was tested and refined to meet International playing conditions with the help of many rugby players of all skill levels. Today the Skill-Tec™ training system is widely used by rugby players and teams throughout South Africa from youth league to University to professional level play.
