PLAYM8™ UK has agreed to work in partnership with coaches and academic staff at Leeds Metropolitan University and will be providing technical and product support to the Carnegie Faculty of Sport and Physical Education.
Neil Holmes, Senior Lecturer in the Faculty says “With the support provided by
PLAYM8™ we will be developing ground breaking research in teaching resources for children of all ages and ‘teaching the teachers of tomorrow’ while helping with product development.”
PLAYM8™ innovative product range along with support and genuine interest in how children learn has been a main reason for this partnership coming together.
This will enable work in the following areas: product development, research, school links, resource development, work experience enhancement for students and perhaps one of the most exciting for the students will be the development of resources to help the delivery of modules on the degree courses.
Students will get the chance to use equipment from the range of educational learning aids to help devise new games and tasks for children to help them learn through play. This partnership is the hopefully the start of a very long relationship between two organisations who believe in improving physical education in schools and the community.
